My name is Sandy and I have a wonderful husband Zack, a.k.a. Coupon Dad,  who I am quite positive hung the moon. I am also the proud mother of four of the most amazing children in the world, Destiny 14, Ethan (my favorite son) 10, Amber 9, and Anah who is 7. These five people are my life.

After spending 4 and ½ years in Minneapolis we made the decision to move to San Antonio. While we miss the friends that we made there, we do not miss the sub zero temperatures and we were none to fond of shoveling snow.

I am originally from L.A. (Lower Alabama) while I am very proud of my southern roots; my upbringing makes my home a sad place to return.

I grew up in extreme poverty. My parents were both alcoholics and addicts. I plan to share my experiences growing up in what would be the very definition of a dysfunctional family.

I can guarantee this isn’t your ordinary mom blog site.  I am a mother of 4 of the most beautiful little pains in the butt that you have ever seen.  Who ever said that motherhood was bliss… well they need their head examined.


This site is all about trying to make it through those mid-night feedings, the terrible two’s, and yes the dreaded teens.  That’s right, the good the bad and the ugly.  I am all about trying to survive this “bliss” of motherhood while:

1) Maintaining my sanity
2) Raising productive members of society
3) Not traumatizing my children so badly that they need therapy once they leave the nest

I feel if I can accomplish this, I have succeeded at “raising” my children.


To keep my sanity, I enjoy cooking, watching a good “chick flick”, shopping for that perfect pair of jeans (which I have yet to find) , traveling to romantic get-a-ways with the love of my life, and lastly I have a new found passion for photography.


On this journey of child rearing, I will share with you everything from parenting tips, fashion advice, to ways to save money at the checkout lane!
